USMikroChips was formed in January of 1993 to serve a rapidly growing
need for Hall Effect Sensor ICs in brushless DC motors and personal computer
(PC) cooling fans. USMikroChips designed CMOS Hall IC devices specifically
for these applications and
has captured 70% of the low cost, high volume segment of the market.
USM is also currently the overall worldwide volume leader of Digital
Hall Effect ICs. Our competitive advantages are a special CMOS Hall IC
process, and a "To do whatever it takes" service philosophy. Most of our
competitors design Bipolar devices for the Automotive markets and sell
fallout
to other markets. USMikroChips designs devices to accomodate each market,
using the CMOS process, which eliminates the "fallout" concept.
Our next initiative is to repeat this success in the Automotive and
Industrial markets,with cost-effective devices aimed at specific applications.
